The rope sweaters and yacht references reminds one of I'm on a boat with Adam Sandberg(http://youtu.be/R7yfISlGLNU) and Haircut One-hundred the new wave band with Nick Heyward of Love plus one fame (http://youtu.be/5_msHpEa3_Y). Hope no such revivalist dreams are near for Howard Jones or Thomas Dolby. All jokes aside, the first album by Vampire Weekend is great for weird parties or freaking out by yourself in front of a mirror or in a car. It's just good fun. The love is kinda gone for this band as far as kewlness goes. They no longer have the cool factor they once did, but if you didn't ever hear then, then its a must. It is destined to be a classic.
