The air seems to hang especially heavy with this song. I truly cannot begin to convey how eerie and peaceful it comes off. Jeff sounds like he may have a cold on this. I truly enjoy the atmosphere achieved with the slow lingering notes of the piano, and the audible fingering of the steel guitar strings. If you pay close attention you can notice the sounds of a breeze from a moving car or perhaps some static on a nearby transmitter. Quiet and not. Everything just still in air. Slow and still: the two tempos in this song that just slowly envelops one and sends shiver and smiles all at once when the tune does pick up. "distance has a way of making love understandable", indeed. I can listen to this one over and over then over again.

Can you see yourself walking into a old room with wood floors. The light coming in through the windows, the only light here. the sun entering this dusty old room at an angle, because it is that time of day. This is the kind of room that is empty of most things. Except for the dust, visible in the sun-rays, some old paper clippings, three mismatched utensils and some plates; an abandoned room. You can step freely and hear loud steps without fear of being discovered or without the possibility of startling anyone. This place is abandoned. Just an idea. Cool, huh?
