static static more static then chaos. what a start, a beginning to an album by a band like Crystal Castles. It sounds like someone trying to communicate from another realm. I think that is the point they are trying to make.  Communicating or the attempt rather to communicate over static and chaos. Sounds like me on any given day, watching television or hearing the radio. Who could ask for anything more? I mean yea you could ask for clarity, gloss and sing along chorus but you'd end up with anything on the radio that you are being force-fed now. No thanks. I think this is so unique in it's presentation that maybe it's not something you listen to on a set of headphones before a quiet uninterrupted night of sound sleep, unless you like that sort of thing. I can most certainly listen to this while writing or drawing something. I use it to do stuff along to. It's task music. I like getting stuff done.The rest of the album is not as startling, but you only get one chance to make a first impression ...on a second album. fainting spells.
