NOHO Thursday. MY DANZ

If I couldn't be in a dance troupe (for whatever reason that seems ridiculous, really), I would like to be in a movie with singing and dancing tough kids. Like West Side Story, but updated with great tougher dancing.

Today I attended a Party, with a capital P. I ate all they had to offer me. As you can imagine, I  was totally in piggy heaven. I purposely arrived with assorted cookies that I specifically had been craving for ever. I popped them open all at once and passed them around. I enjoyed them like you wouln't believe and so did everybody else. I just kept opening one box after the other and passing them around. We all had fun, and ate and drank and I do not feel bad 'cause every once in while it's okay to get crazy!-Although, I'm not sure what my old buddies would say about me calling a cookie fest "going crazy". I really did have fun though. I'll get back to eating healthy soon enough, but this was a birthday party and fun was the order of the day. Tomorrow we'll hit the pavements with our working out.

NOHO Wednesday- working out and stuff...

One two three. I'm still on it. My quest to be better, get better. I don't plan to spend more than a little bit of time on it. I'm at 56 minutes give or take. I think that is the perfect amount of time I should dedicate to making things up. The rest of my day is allotted to work of some kind, and fixing or eating food and connecting with loved ones. And the time I've set aside to make this blog possible. Which is not that great overall.That is what is super important in my life right now.
How about it have you guys broken down your hours in a day somehow?And what goals you'd like to achieve? long and short?
Don't worry if you haven't, I'm not doing any of that yet either. I'm gonna get started on the short terms goals soon, I hope. The long term, well, that is just something to think about. I mean what do I honestly want to be doing 5-6 years from now?-I've got to think about that.   Maybe you should to, sleep on it, nothing too hurried you know, what would you like to be doing five years from now?
    While still doing your workout if you've decided to join us. I know the long weekends tend to put people off any regiment they've set up for themselves. I had an excuse for yesterday,now it is gone. Today is today. Let's do it!!!!

I've been told that there is a male walking around NORTH HOLLYWOOD, going on a leisure walk if you will, that is fond of wearing giant sun hats. I would like to point out that it is in fact not me. NOT ME. I would also like to point out: how dare he! everybody knows that giant sun hats are my thing!!! What's next? is he going to take my favorite song that I love to dance to at all the clubs???THATS MY SONG...

so I still am in a bit of pain from my calves and I don't want to spend too much time on it except to tell you guys that it does happen and be careful. I won't stop going around this fair city and working out. Instead of aggravating my calves more by walking today, I took a bike ride for an extended amount of time and sweat while my calve felt much better when I stretched it out on the bicycle pedal. I won't stop. I hope you guys are doing better than great and are in your cities doing your thing. I am in NOHO.

NOHO TUESDAY-

I was not able to do any walking today. Like I said yesterday, I got cramps on both calves. I contiued to walk on it and today I was still in pain not as much but enough for me to decide to stay off them today. I did eat well and I enjoyed a nice quiet day. Hope you guys did too.

Today was a perfect day for walking around the city. It was empty as can be. There were no lines for anything. No waiting for frozen yogurt, or seats in a restaurant. NOHO streets were sans peeps.

NOHO THANKS TO SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN-thanks.

If I could go anywhere in the world I wanted to, right now on this weekend, it would be to go in my living room, on my couch, with a good movie and a good box of delicious snacks, maybe cookies, maybe chocolates, maybe a combination of both. Lay down, on couch, and relax.Even though it is the weekend and everybody's doing all kinds of things to celebrate this, I already did. I've honored and celebrated all week long, I've also been working out all week long, in hopes of being fit and in turn feeling better about myself which make s me a better person. I am a bit tired and I don't want to go anywhere after I work out later in the day except my couch, and relax. I do not want to go to New Orleans, like usualy do and spend several days just smelling the different places and eating everything, and just being there, no. I do not. I want to rest after working out.
    I will consider this a very successful celebration if I get to relax. Thank you.

    NORTH HOLLYWOOD- I would like to make clear that even though I am a little tired after working out today, when many people were out having bar-b-ques, and I don't want to do anything as far as festivities and drinking or going out, I am very thankful that I am able to do these things. I know that there are people who do not have a meal to eat today and may go hungry. I know that there are people who don't have the freedoms to do anything they'd like on a day like today because they are not fortunate enough to live in these UNITED STATES of AMERICA. I understand freedom is not free. For these and many reasons more I would like to give thanks today to the heavens up above for all I have and will have that I shall do my best and not take for granted. I hope you all have a great day and get whatever it is that you wanted to get. Let's not forget the people in our armed forces who are defending our freedoms and those that didn't make it home. To them and their families many many thanks. PEACE.

I have managed to get not one but two cramps that have not gone away yet today while walking. One on each calve, at the start of my walking, this is after stretching for a while before my walk. I would just like you guys to know that I still stand by my desire to be in a fruit inspired dance troupe and add that maybe our theme song would be lollipop because we'd be so good everyone else we went up against in a competition would in essence ...suck it. And yes, I'm sure that there are dance competitions just as I'm sure there are competitions for any little thing imaginable. We love a competition.

NOHO Sunday-ONE TWO THREE

ONE TWO THREE. On my quest. I'm attempting to be a better person. I've got three goals in mind. I'm starting with a physical workout to get my body in shape. I'm asking for company in this, because as much as I love being alone at times I also like having people to share an experience with. I think we can all benefit from this and it's a good way to save money. You don't have to pay someone to remind you to or check your work out daily. We'll do it for free. You check on here and see where I am and hopefully that will motivate or remind you to do it, also. I don't know what the level of work out your doctor told you to achieve but I agree with him so stick to it. If you are not there yet we can get you there. I've  managed to reach a whole 56 minute workout, painfully slow, I might add,  in 15 minute increments. I started out walking for 15 minutes straight, without stopping and in a steady breathing pattern out of my nose. It was not as easy as I remember, but slowly I've built on that (with the soreness to prove it) to achieve my goal of working out for 60 minutes with a time to stretch and cool down, afterward. I will continue to be on here updating you guys on my progress. I think this a great time to get in shape for two reasons. One- it is no near the new year and all that pressure to get stuff acomplished by because of the finality of the year, so essentially you are getting a head start on the new year and anything done between now and then is just a bonus. Reason 2- If not today, when?, today is as good a day as any to be better, right?-so come on! Let's do it.

I've gotten to the level where I am sweating and pushing myself to stay at that level because all I really want to do is watch a movie at the end of the day. I am sweating and getting all the benefits of doing something physical for an extended amount of time. I intend to stay at this level to maintain the benefits and hopefully you will decide that it is good for you, too. I ran and was almost able to breathe through my nose the whole time, once I start breathing through my mouth I get tired, easily, it's very strange. So I'll continue to do this until I do not hurt, or do not hurt as much, because I do hurt.

 If I had a dance troupe we would be called Toot-y Froot-y. We would dress in fruit appropriate colored outfits. Purple would represent grapes, yellow would either represent  bananas or lemon and so on. If I had a dance troupe we would dance hip hop and hard bubble gum pop, and compete around the country, maybe. I'm not quite sure, yet.
