NOHO- BIG CITY LIVING, Made easy-COPING WITH AND LIVING IN A BIG CITY.
Lately I've been around a couple of kids and its usually in confined places, doctors' office, on a public transportation vehicle, a sinking ship (don't ask),and they all have one thing in common: seemingly unending energy. This is great energy. Any child that doesn't have this kind of energy is in need of a tune up. And we've seen them, a child that doesn't want to play, for whatever reason, is a sad child, . I know child energy needs to be steered into something positive and productive. This kind of energy can propel and ignite universes. To harness this kind of energy would keep you, literally, forever young. This energy, though, most often gets put into jumping, running chasing one another if more than one is around in a small confined space, which could lead to the more alarming and nerve-wracking running around with sudden burst of screeching or high pitched yelling. If only one child is around, then they may put all their focus on askin' for stuff, or asking questions, immediately followed by "why?" OVER AND OVER AGAIN. It's this energy, its what they are blessed with, and what I wish I had, for sure.
I love children to no end. I think they are precious vessels with the
future imbedded in their DNA. Not to mention the fact that they are so cute like
travel size versions of the parents. Children are what cartoon characters wished
they looked like. I do though, feel terrible for the parents that have
over-extended themselves and are just too tired to mind them or steer this energy into making them use it for their good, and have
them not be a source of irritation to people not used to this type of
explosive energy in confined places. I feel for both the parent and the
uninitiated who are suddenly forced into this situation.
I propose a solution. In what I'm calling: BIG CITY LIVING, made easy.
It would fall under the exercise for thirty minutes a day plan I've suggested previously. This would just include your child.
I'm pretty sure it would remove some of the stress of dealing with energetic children. Again this would just be included into your already existing workout routine, because you have to be able to take care of yourself first and be fit and alert to be able to care for others. How can you care for somebody else if you can barely take care of yourself, right? Right. So agreed, you would wake up 30 minutes earlier to be able to fit this in your busy schedule. I'm no doctor, although I do play one from time to time (again you do not want to know), so please check with your physician before implementing this plan.
Whatever you do to exercise, whatever your already implemented plan, your child would simply accompany you and do the same thing you do, just more and faster. If you bike ride your child could bike ride to and from a visual goal. If you walk your child would walk faster, Etc.
I believe exercising daily gives adults energy, improves their moods, concentration, a better weight and generally better health needed to be able to keep up with your kids. I believe your kids, that are packing more energy to the pound, will benefit by literally running circles around you by using up some of that excess energy that keeps making them hard to keep up with.
Doing this together provides better cohesion as a family. Seriously, what family couldn't use more bonding time, right?
Think about it, it's a great way to knock two birds with one stone. Whatever you are doing to stay in shape, just include your child or some one else' child that could use your assistance and is allowed to. You could go walking and have your child running around you like they do in military group runs, where the soldier carrying the company flag or Guidon is running circles around the company that is also running, but at a slower pace. You could pretend you guys are a military company or just some super-force to be reckoned with. But if you think that is too much, you could always just have your child accompany you on your exercises. It would take care of the excess energy. I just think it would look so much cooler to have a flag going round and round you as you walked at a steady pace, on your way to health. Are you ready?

If you spend thirty minutes a day to making things better in your life by getting yourself in better shape, physically, by working out or mentally by meditating or practicing stretching exercises with controlled breathing, Come new year you'll be ready for those new years resolutions-heck, you'll be done.
*Do Not Exercise. if your doctor suggests that you refrain from exercise.Of course, by all means then, I hope you do just that. If you cannot, then do not. 'Nuff said.
But if you can and your doctor brings it up every-time you see him, then join us. Once a day. Hydrate, too, buddy don't need you passing out.
If you still don't have a doctor, again, Mr president is working on it.
