Friday
http://manwasidrunk.blogspot.com
The weekend is upon us. I am so ready to chill out. Seriously. I will wake up late tomorrow. Have coffee in a mug, not a travel cup, not a disposable cup. I will not run out in a crazed sleepy daze. I will chill. Rent is due and it will be payed, barely. All the schedule upheaval, from one job to another, with all that docked pay. Two weeks notice is still the standard time mode for transition. I am just glad to be in form, and super ready for Monday. Today, is Friday though, and that is what we're going to focus on. Full on. Are we ready?
-Sidenote: Funny before it would be a matter of looking and smelling just right before getting the weekend started with an atomic BOOM to a killer soundtrack. All in a fuzzy hyper active blur. Today, I want to be present and get some cleaning done in relative quiet. Maybe a cd or two. But nothing to crazy...that'll be in a few weeks. When I get caught up on bills and sleep! BOOM. Manwasidrunk.

Thursday
http://manwasidrunk.blogspot.com
This was me in the AM
I am much better now.
The coffee did its job.
It's Thursday. I am so ready for this! Okay, maybe not so much today. It is however, just a matter of getting my coffee to kick in. I also have got to get my senses to function. After that then we'll be good. Maybe. I thought I might have some trouble adjusting to this two-job deal. I...it is. Simply because: it's a whole new job! Plus the bullshit from the first job. Old personal beefs, same scheduling improbability, petty, petty. Old jobs are the best. It's why we look for second jobs.

the DT (DOWNTOWN) sweating it out-Wednesday
http://manwasidrunk.blogspot.com
Do you know what today is? It is THAT time if the year. 2015 STYLE. Today is the day that we get to praise the miracle that is SWEAT. Today is the day that we rejoice in the act of sweating. The go to function of the human body to cool you down, whenever you get too hot by physical exertion or anything else that raises your blood pressure. The one thing that keeps your pores clean and clear as a peppermint oil rubdown. NOW, my broChachos, the reason I make a point of stating this every year is because I know that during this time I am covered in sweat most of the day . Whether I am exercising vigorously, or just reading a book. Its inevitable. C'est la vida. Such is life. I have experience with insecure people, perhaps out of ignorance maybe to appease their own insecurities, making you feel bad about sweating, or sweat marks, or stains. I, not knowing better, felt terrible, or embarrassed. That is not nice, my broChachos. Ignore them, they do not know about what they speak. I know many people get grossed out by this perfectly healthy action, and I just want to remind you to carry on sweating. If you didn't sweat something may be wrong. And you should see a doctor. Otherwise...keep sweating! It's as normal and healthy as all out. PSI love this platform: manwasidrunk! Where else could we speak about sweat? It is something we should not have to adress. But in this world of fake this and fake that, I am fortunate enough to shine a light on something real and natural. I hope I get to do this forever! Well maybe for a while, until my dancing career takes off. DANCES WITH WINGS! In tha house! theplacebtobe.
Oh by the way (BTW) fellas don't forget to HIGHLIGHT A PLAYER! Awright?- Manwasidrunk.

Arranging my new apartment-Tuesday
http://manwasidrunk.blogspot.com
I'm setting up my favorite books on my shelf. It turns out I have many books that I like. Who knew I was such a big Anne Rice fan? I mean, I knew I liked her plenty, especially her stories with a southerly backdrop. Louisiana being a state I always found so attractive, and somehow imagined to be so effen romantic (you know, much like many people see Paris, France or Glendale, California j/k on that last one) I like her story telling so much, but I had no idea I owned so much of her stuff. She is good, though, we will keep her here at the offices of manwasidrunk (my dining room). I will probably keep both copies of TO KILL A MOKINGBIRD, as it is the classic to share with the uninitiated. The easiest read. Please, tell me you guys (and everyone you know) have read it, yes? I have got an extra copy I can lend you- but I will ask you as to your progress and enjoy rereading it myself.
My dear and sweet Chalupas, As you guys know, the reason I am arranging my books and things is because I just moved/had a weird first half of 2015/have been looking to supplement my income... by feverishly looking for and finally getting a second job/having had severe medical\physical issues resulting from my medical insurance being bungled up for a period of several months/have had no time for friends or socializing. BUT despite having so much physical, mental and spiritual activity, I would like to announce that I am finally getting my dancing career back on track- again. I have been dreaming if this day (today - Tuesday), as the day that Dances with Wings (My new troupe name) takes flight. Here we come. I am working on a very cool promotional graphic representation. A PICTURE. Are you guys ready? Its Tuesday, fellas, drop it like it's just to heavy to keep holding it up! Boom

As some of you know I just recently moved after some weeks of financial uncertainty (it happens), and weeks of endless apartment searching (what an awful awful way to spend your time off after work). To top of that wonderful experience, now I have stuff in boxes. Loads of boxes. I have boxes everywhere. I have boxes of books and boxes of toys, boxes of clothing that are not of this season. You can only wear sweaters and jackets for a 2 hours period, on two consecutive weekends in the winter in the NoHo (SoCali). You don't know what weekends, however, so you always have to be ready from November to January. I have all kinds of cold weather clothing in boxes just for these occasions, ready to go in a moments notice. I wouldn't want to miss the few occasions to dress like my favorite English Rock Stars because I forgot where I left these jackets and scarves, I would kick myself.
I have so many boxes I forgot what it is like to live in a furniture-bare apartment. It makes me long for the days when I didn't own much and was none the worse for it. I have been doing some thinking on this. I may start loosing some of these things. Keep only my essential rock star scarf and PRETTY WOMAN vinyl booys (kidding), and books that I can quote from. Everything else migh be set free. That is what is going on here at manwasidrunk.
BTW have you guys been drinking plenty of water? It sweating season. TIME TO GET YOUR SWEAT ON HOMIES! !

Drink or no Drink? Friday

The weekend is upon us. It is that time of the week when we can fill up on giggles and get our drink on and our herb on. UNLESS. We ( and this means anybody who fits the category) are the type of person that cannot drink or smoke. In that case we need to get our giggling on while enjoying a caffeinated sweet beverage. It doesn't mean you cannot enjoy all the pleasures of being alive and sexy, it does mean you will
Some guys CANNOT drink. Alcohol is your kryptonite. Sorry, that's just the way life is sometimes. Nothing to it. Nothing but a thing, some cannot eat peanuts, or be around bees, what are you gonna do?-Let's just get on with life. Order a water, it's better for you, and it looks more distinguished

In moving apartments in such a short time I found a couple of things. Besides being super highly stressful it proved extremely depressing. I am okay but it kind of makes you fear for a shaken stability. I moved or had to move quicker than is recommended. That moving quickly and packing immediately leaves a feeling of lacking a safety net. That can really do a number on you if you have any insecurity issues. Lucky for me, I am solid as a rock. A crack rock, around a couple of addicts...who have no desire to be in recovery or sober. I was freaking out. Even now I feel the new apartment may be haunted, but I have been too tired to pay it any mind or do some weird little ceremony to get some peace of mind.
I am settling in however. I do have some boxes that hold some prized possessions that I may not get to anytime soon. Which leads me to believe I may not need these as much as I thought I might. The packing simply prolonging a goodbye ceremony. I have stumbled on brick-a-brack that I do not know what to do with. I have some smallish STAR WARS Storm Trooper figures that have really got me thinking. Do I want to keep these and if so to what end? Will they conflict with my LOTR figures, which are of a slightly different size? And what would my WWE toys, especially, my Stone Cold Steve Austin say about all these? -These, by the way are considerably larger. Will any of these be displayed? They cannot be displayed near each other, the size disparity looks unreal and ridiculous. My GI Joe, set however, doesn't give a fuck. They know they command space and presence. We shall see. A smallish neighbor or relative may COME UP. So much stuff #first world problems. I'M RICH BITCH!

I find that reading does a lot to calm me down. If a book is good (and why else would you read a book, right?), I get excited. Once I start reading, though, I breath a sigh of relief and get on with the story. I calm down. If the story does get exciting, it's cool because it's a fantasy type of excitement. No harm can come from book excitement.
You can have a drink or a snack while reading, just be careful, because if certain drinks or snacks are your diet downfall, even while reading, you should avoid these. If you fear developing a heavy bottom, on you, avoid the snacking. Me?, I don't see a single thing wrong with doubling up the size of your bottom. I personally wish many guys had a heavier bottom (I encourage it highly-volunteering to inspect such matters in depth), but that is just me. Did it get hot up in hrrre?
I genuinely do like what happened to Ethan Morrden's characters, in his books. I feel his writing became less exclusive and more enjoyable. When reading "I've A Feeling We're Not In Kansas Anymore" I felt there were certain things like the description and tales of The Pines, that were too local and privy; incestuous almost. The Circuit was a character in itself, and it informed much of the social agenda and goals in the book. Circuit parties are still a thing even out here (White Parties Black Parties), I believe. I wouldn't know because I never had a desire for them, my friends never mentioned these either. So they never existed as far as my universe was concerned. They still go on so...who knows the full extent of their influence or their hand in shaping a part of culture for good or bad? The later books rely less on these sign posts. I still hold a soft spot for 'Kansas' because of my personal experience in reading such material at such a tumultuous age.

I would like to take today to be thankful for life, the ability to breathe this SoCali air even when it's humid and grey out (yes, still). I would also like to be thankful for all the good in the world that we have been blessed with in recent weeks. Most of all, I am FILLED with thankfulness for the fact that tight pants are once again in style with men. BOOYA!
I would however like to point out that with tighter pants one should probably consider wearing briefs as a safe and comfortable underwear option. I just saw someone wearing boxer shorts with tight jeans. The reason I could tell what underwear he was sporting, was because they were sticking out of his pants like an oversized cloth diaper. Or a small bundled curtain. A red curtain. His underwear was red, did you guys get that? :-b manwasidrunk.

Reading has always been a way to stimulate the imagination. It magically manages to slow down a hectic day. It's inexpensive, too. It's an affordable way to leave the confines of a daily rut; a draining routine. It can help you escape an ordinary life and live amazing fantasies, safely, if only for a bit. It's like watching television but with reverse effects. Instead of deadening your brain and slowly stealing your soul and making you passive and apathetic, it actually has benefits. It stimulates your learning brain and increases concentration. You can pick a subject you're interested in, almost any subject, and read up on it. In fiction or nonfiction. Imagine that. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE LIMITLESS.
I get that some people associate reading with school. If school was terrible for you, as it sadly is for too many children, 'reading' and 'fun' are not to be used in the same sentence. I know this because some of my best and personal friends don't read unless they are instructions in a box. Even then, some guys won't do it. That is such a loss. You miss out on such a powerful and sometimes passionate form of art.
Reading does require some free time. I know many don't have that sort of time. I myself have been so busy lately that sleep is almost a luxury. Almost. It is in fact a necessity, even when sleep eludes you, as it sometimes has, I keep a book handy so to take advantage of the time. So, I now make time. I admit, I haven't actually read much, for fun, in over a decade. I know, I know. Life sometimes just happens. I've been so busy, its crazy. I HAVE made a commitment to make time to slow down and read. I carry a book wherever I go because I am aware that there is always a time when you have to wait: perfect time for a book! Starting back in January when I began reading Tale of the Body Thief by Anne Rice. My reading hunger has simply grown.
I will take this opportunity to suggest, if you don't already read for pleasure, pick a book you have always wanted to read, and go ahead give it a go. If you don't like it get another one. I give a book a chance of 100 pages. That is always enough text to know if you want to invest yourself and your time. It is your time, use it wisely. Don't just waste it away passively watching the world go by. Get involved, at least get your mind involved. It needs to be sharp for the Zombie Apocalypse, or meeting new friends. -Manwasidrunk

I have been taking pictures of The NOHO, and metro line, all SoCali. Hope you enjoy. Just giving you a tour of this city in case you've been wanting to visit but haven't had the dough (mula, dinero, caching, duckets, the money). Enjoy. don't forget to drink plenty of water, even though it is overcast out here it is still hot and you need to stay hydrated. Keep it tight!
Wherever you guys are in the world, or at least show it off!

Sunday.
Good Sunday Everybody! My broChachos! So glad to be the one in the best of moods and the person with all the best well wishes in the world for you guys. That is truly my hopes for you guys. Now that we got all that nice stuff out of the way, let's move on to all the unpleasantness...j u s t kidding. No unpleasantness here, some truths, maybe, some realities perhaps, but that is life, and it just keeps going, so let's enjoy it until we've used it all up. Let's make it count, let's squeeze out every last drop. Leave no rock unturned, no regrets, yes? Good. Manwasidrunk.
I have continued reading Ethan Morrden, as you can see from the picture I posted yesterday. Yes I was reading him when I became overwhelmed and started crying at dusk earlier this year. It was for many things; all the changes I was experiencing. It was a different book, alright? But yes, it was all too much: the memories that came rolling in, wave after wave at the emotions and sadness in the characters' lives. It was like a sudden counter with the saltwater at the ocean. A truly emotional and raw encounter, I should point out. I have gone back to the one that started it all. I'VE A FEELING WE'RE NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE. It is from the 1980'S. It is quite dated, in fact, as seen by what the models are wearing on the cover (that style of dress is fashionable once again-polo shirts, colars turned up, hair that flips ...oh yea).
When this book made the rounds in my high school it was HONESTLY all the rage. It was GAY, firstly. Secondly, we were very young and just learning. And thirdly, there was s-e-x. The sex was a bit weird and foreign, but it was sex. We passed this one book around because hardly any of us were savvy enough to know where one goes to get something like this. I have an idea which one of our crew was the original owner, now. Oh yea we had a CREW, in high school (more on that later...maybe). It was a read that resonates even now, despite the big cultural gap between these NY social wannabees and culturally mixed poorer folks just starting high school on this west coast (SoCali).

READING ETHAN MORDDEN -Second Job Saturday. Companies and banks that we need to remember.
What is up my chimichangos! I cannot believe that this has been the first week of my having a second job. Wow, that was quick! Guys I guess that this is the sign of the trickle down effect of a bad economy. It finally trickled down. Some lost their homes, some had to sell their valuables, take a pay cut at work. Some lost their job entirely. Some still cannot find work, because of job scarcity, jobs not paying enough, or worse depression. Meanwhile CEOs have record raises and salaries. Banks are moving along happily; cutting staff personnel as we speak, replacing people with machines. What we should do is replace those companies with better companies. Companies that want and appreciate customers. Some of us had all those things happen, and then have to get two jobs. Two low paying jobs. It happens. Manwasidrunk gets it.
That's okay I suppose, because we won't soon forget those that took advantage of people and circumstances. Banks and large Companies/Corporations that won't help the US economy and those in need will be rememberedfor sure.
